Considering how this chapter started with him snapping out of a trance with his mouth dripping blood, and how Cherry first acted when under the influence of the fruit until the core finally broke, better hope his father and family were nobody nearby when he touched that fruit or they are long gone.

I have a fear that they were near since he is after destroying the cause of any of this.Not just that but making sure it never happened ever. Past chapters have talked about him wanted to wish it all away so. Could be wrong im tired right now lol so commenting this stuff is from a half asleep man.

That is a good point, it's rather extreme of him to want to utterly rewind time like that... but wanting to un-do the death of his family makes it make more sense. Although, didn't he want to rewind from back to when the tree was created to stop it or something like that? That would be centuries from before he or even his grandparents were born and prevent the creation of the drifters.

Isn't that why he's gathering that energy from the opponents he eats? I thought it implied if he gathers enough he can make the wish without needing to kill himself, not just to make the wish at all. Although I suppose there is also the issue that he is likely to prevent his birth if he goes back that far and prevents that tree from ever existing, he would practically be creating an entirely new world if he goes back that far and makes a change that impactful.

From what i can tell (i have issues remembering stuff and on top of that reading) but he is collecting to make his own wish and if he does no matter what the wish is it will kill him like if he wished for food or such he would die before he got to even partake of the wish. S2-Freak can correct me if I am wrong.

We're learning way more about the setting than we expected! So the fruits can't affect someone who has already been transformed, but someone born a drifter can be changed, and in a much more monstrous way...

Huh, that is a good point. I wonder if Schwarzpelz's father and Celia's father were colleagues or something in the study of the fruits. Though in that flashback we saw when Celia's father was fighting Schwarzpelz they didn't seem to act like they knew each other... or maybe that's why her father seemed to not take the fight seriously.

Also wasn't the whole way the fruits work explained in detail before? I remember there was some pages explaining how all the drifters originally started out as humans who touched the fruit, turning them into that and giving them special abilities, which would have touching any further fruits have no effect. But their offspring would then be drifters too and if they touched a fruit it would turn them into a giant animal and make them lose their minds.

BTW, we now know that he can eat people and other animals and probably lots of them to sustain his body mass. When did he acquire that spherical thing that transfers his victim energy directly and very efficiently to him so that he does not have to eat as much? Will you show him hunting big or should I say huge games until he gets that orb? He is bound to get very hungry?
It's good to see him back to his normal size. His head is now rightfully back to house size. For some unknown reasons in the past few pages, he was somewhat smaller than his usual size. I thought that he was really smaller when he was first created and then grew to this size. I guess I was wrong.

the fact that there are people who knew about what will happen if a drifter's child touch those fruit exists makes it even more ridiculous that it keeps happening
I mean Schwarzi knew about this and never bother to warn Chakki or her brother about it which would have prevented chapter 2 from happing

Looking at the face behind the mask i think i know who that is and they would definitely know about the fruit so probably not common knowledge
