Working on a graphical recipe project with a friend from LiveJournal. Just felt like sharing these. They're simple but cute!
Homemade Hot Cocoa
1 heaping Tablespoon of cocoa powder
2 heaping Tablespoons of white sugar
3 Tablespoons hot water
A splash of vanilla extract
Milk
A mug
Put the cocoa powder and sugar into a microwave-safe mug. Mix to
combine the powders, then add hot water. Mix together, then heat for
30 seconds in the microwave. This will create a chocolate syrup. Add
milk to fill up your mug and mix well to combine. Microwave for 1
minute, stir, and then heat for 30 seconds at a time as needed until
your cocoa is warm or hot. Add vanilla extract and stir your cocoa,
then enjoy!
You can also make it on the stovetop in a pot for multiple cups at a
time - follow the same process, just scale up on ingredients. Make
sure you do not boil the milk - only heat to steaming. Use a ladle to
pour into mugs and enjoy! Also, try using hot coffee instead of water
for mocha flavor!
