This story was slightly based on “The Backrooms” creepypasta.
[Cute-Horror] [Transformation] [Unwilling] [Disgusting] [Dark ending?] [Psychological] [Mind-Change]
If you wander around carelessly and take a wrong turn at the wrong place, you risk no-clipping out of reality to end up in the Fluffrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of wet fur, the madness of mono-pink, the endless background noise of purring cats, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.
Beware of the cute entities in this place, because they sure as hell will do cute things to you that you’ve never asked for…
I had been waiting outside the elevator for quite a while, listening to the talk of two girls coming from another floor, both holding the door and keeping me stranded for as long as their meaningless chit chat would go on.
A normal person would have shouted at them to quit that bullshit, but I was a weak guy, with a frail personality and scared of everything, especially women. So I did the only thing a loser in my situation would do… I took the stairs.
It was one of those internal fire stairs, with concrete steps, concrete walls, iron rails and buzzing fluorescent lights. It was so gray that my mood worsened from simply being in there.
I would have to go down fifteen floors, but it was a preferred option than speaking up to those girls, so I began the long descent with my head hanging in a defeated pose. For each step, I cursed myself for being a wimp… I hated how shy and insecure I was… I hated being the butt of every joke… I hated letting everyone else take advantage of me… It was so unf-
“Eeep!”
I twisted my ankle and tripped. The hard, concrete floor rapidly approached. I only had time to close my eyes and put my arms ahead to absorb the impact…
That was going to hurt…
Squish!
Rather than cracking my jaw, I painlessly flopped onto a moist, fluffy surface that resembled a pink carpet. It had the nauseating scent of a wet mutt, and the fact that I was basically touching the floor with my lips made some of that filth get into my mouth. I immediately jumped up and spit out until that awful taste disappeared… although the stench was still in the air.
I looked around and found myself in a very strange place that had absolutely nothing to do with the gray staircase from before. The floor was covered by a pink carpet, with many moisture stains. The walls were patched with pastel-pink wallpaper similar to those a little girl would have on their bedrooms. Yet, the most unsettling thing was that there was absolutely nothing else in there; no furniture, no decoration, no windows… Only lots and lots of pink, empty rooms.
“Where the hell am I?” I blinked a few times and rubbed my eyes, wondering if the concussion was making me hallucinate. “Hello? Someone?”
There was no sight of the stairs anywhere. The place was just pink carpet, pink wallpaper, the stench of wet dog, and moisture everywhere. It was almost as if I had simply teleported into an abandoned office!
Purrrrrrr…
An annoying sound caught my attention, coming from right above my head. For a moment I thought it was a faulty fluorescent light humming at maximum buzz, but after listening for a while it sounded exactly like feline purrs, as if a hundred cats were hiding on the ceiling… That was the weirdest sounding lamp I had ever seen.
“This can’t be real…”
I reached for my pockets and found my wallet and cellphone were still there. No documents were missing and I still had some money. I unlocked my phone and immediately opened the maps, trying to figure out my exact location. After some loading, a message saying “No signal” showed up… I sighed.
Purrrrrrr…
With nothing better to do, I walked around aimlessly to investigate, going from empty room to empty room, all of them covered by that pink, smelly carpet, pink, dusty walls, and ceiling lamps that purred like cats. Every few seconds I would shout for help, only to get no replies except for the constant purring…
Purrrrrrr…
At first, I was confused and lost, moving slowly and checking for any windows or exit signs; but I found nothing besides pink empty rooms. Then I became angry and moved quicker, yelling and cursing; but I found nothing besides pink empty rooms. Then I panicked and started to sprint, screaming for help and feeling a cold sweat run down my back; but I found nothing besides pink empty rooms.
Purrrrrrr…
I sat on the moist, pink floor with my back against a pastel pink wall and hugged my legs, shaking uncontrollably. My phone still had no signal and, according to the time, almost half an hour had passed since I woke up in that strange pink location.
What was that place? Why was it so big? Why would anyone build a giant office and leave it abandoned? I hated that damn stench of wet fur and the loud purring from the ceiling! I hated that place so much! I hated that place more than anything! That had to be a dream! It made no sense!
Purrrrrrr…
I was hyperventilating, rocking myself back and forth like a baby, biting my nails and blinking non stop. I had never felt so hopeless in my life. It wasn’t just the smell, the purr and the pink, nor was it the size of the labyrinth that had gotten into me… It was something more…
There was something disturbingly wrong with that empty, meaningless place. That infinite void of pink rooms that made me feel so minuscule. That inescapable maze that had no future and no past, where every memory blended together. I had no idea if I was advancing, walking in circles, or if I had never left that very first room in the first place…
Purrrrrrr…
My back slid against the wall until I was laying on the fluffy floor, that disgusting moisture from the carpet being absorbed by my shirt. I had already grown used to that smell, so much that I forgot how it was to breathe pure air… I forgot how it felt to breathe anything other than that stench.
I took off my shirt and my shoes, forgetting that I was a shy, skinny guy embarrassed by my own body. I grinded myself against the ticklish carpet, rolling and crawling, laughing maniacally and getting myself covered in dog-stench… my own sweat mixing up with that unknown substance to create a foul odor.
Purrrrrrr…
I stood on my fours and howled like a madman, ignoring my fear of public embarrassment… Then I began running around the place, bellowing as a beast would, blinded by fear, confusion, sadness, emptiness, pink, pink, pink, pink, pink…
I ran… and ran… and ran… and ran…
Purrrrrrr…
“I need to pee…”
Without much of a thought, I moved into a corner, sniffed the walls for a while, raised my right leg and… a warm fluid spread all over my crotch, drenching my pants and underwear, dripping onto the floor. The fragrance of the room just got much, much worse.
Purrrrrrr…
My consciousness was brought back immediately and I stared in horror at what I had just done. I couldn’t believe it. I had wet myself! I had completely emptied my bladder! The disgusting thing was running down my legs and soaking every inch of my pants. No. No. No!
I was assaulted by memories of myself from moments ago, running aimlessly in those pink rooms, growling and barking at the walls, full of anger against the world and against myself. I remembered rolling on the floor and covering myself in that carpet moisture.
Purrrrrrr…
I checked my phone, seeing that I had already been lost for almost two hours…
“Oh damn… No… No… Please… No…”
I held my head and cried…
Then screamed…
Then howled…
Then whimpered…
A while later…
Purrrrrrr…
There I was, in yet another pink room, using my apartment keys to mark an X on the pink wall, making sure I wasn’t roaming in circles.
My pants were still drenched and made a “shlosh” sound for every step. My tights were burning from the constant grinding against wet fabric, but still I refused to take off my last piece of clothing. I had already lost my shirt and shoes. I would definitely not get naked!
Purrrrrrr…
Pink room, after pink room, after pink room, I marked the walls and continued to push ahead, feeling like a survivor in a post-apocalyptic setting. I had already given up on trying to understand what was going on, concerned only with keeping myself sane, thinking about happy memories, like: talking with my online friends; watching the last season of my favorite anime; chasing a rubber ball; eating burritos; watching a streamer play that new game; unpacking my new chew-toy…
“Burrito?” I shook my head. “Something is off…”
Purrrrrrr…
A few pink rooms later, I was about to mark another X, but then I froze in place. For the first time since I had gotten there, I found something new. Right in front of me, there were scribblings on the wall! Someone had left a message! I wasn’t alone! Maybe there was a way out! There was hope! There was…
“Crap…”
My smile died off. Rather than joy, those words filled me with terror. My momentary hope was shattered. My heart raced out of rhythm.
Purrrrrrr…
The message, written in red crayon, said:
Beware of the cuties! Don’t let them touch you! Don’t trust anything except what you’ve brought with yourself! Don’t trust your memories! Don’t trust your feelings! Run! Run! KEEP RUNNING! UNTIL YOU FIND THE EXIT!”
Purrrrrrr…
I gulped and cold sweat ran down my forehead. That place had suddenly changed from a maze of boredom into a horror story. Those words gave me no answers, only more questions. It didn’t help with my anxiety, it just made everything worse! I had hoped that text was gonna give me hope! I felt so cheated! It was so unfair! You can’t do this to me! I want someone to hug me! PLEASE!
And then, a soft, calm, high pitched voice came from behind:
“Excuse me, sir! Have you seen my puppy?”
Purrrrrrr…
I slowly turned my head, ready to see a monster or a serial killer, but what I found instead made my jaws drop. It was a short girl, possibly around my age; perfectly smooth skin; big, expressive eyes; long, blonde hair full of life; red skirt with frills; white buttoned shirt; and a dog's collar on her right hand. She was the kind of beauty that could only exist in dreams or animations… The very thing I would’ve described if anyone had ever asked what the perfect girl would look like.
“Sir? Have you seen my puppy?” She repeated. “I’ve been looking for it everywhere!”
“Well… I…” Despite the adorable looks, there was something uncanny about her that I couldn’t quite point at. I stepped away and pressed my back against the same wall with the crayon message. “I d-didn’t see any puppies here…”
“Are you sure?” She approached me. “He must be scared and lost… I heard it whimpering a few minutes ago.”
“I haven’t s-seen your p-puppy.” For each step she took in my direction, I took one step back towards the next pink room. “If I find it, I’ll t-tell you.”
She sniffed at the air, glanced at my moist pants and said:
“Oh! Poor thing! You had an oopsie!” Rather than laugh or appear disgusted, she made a face of pity and compassion. “Come. Let me give you a bath.”
“Sorry… I don’t…” My face burned, completely red. “I gotta get home… there are people waiti-”
My blood froze as her hand approached my face. However, as she gently began to scratch behind my ears, all those fears and baseless suspicion were flushed away. I closed my eyes and let her fingers do their job, helping me relax for the first time since I had gotten into that damned place.
Purrrrrrr…
“Does it feel good?” She giggled.
“Y-yes…”
The girl happily scratched my ears, and each passing second they seemed to grow and become more sensitive… more soft… more pointy… and warmer.
“Come with me.” She held my left hand. “Let me help you.”
The cutie pranced ahead, and I followed. It was better than I had ever imagined holding hands with a girl would be. Her fingers comfortably wrapped around mine, squeezing my skin with her softness. I couldn't stop smiling.
We walked side by side on the pink maze, making one turn to the left, another to the right, and finally coming into a bathroom. Not a pink one, mind you, but a white one, with blue towels, a sink, a toilet, a bathtub and everything a completely normal, non-pink bathroom was supposed to have.
Behind me, the "infinite" maze was nothing but a pink corridor in her house. I was truly stupid to get lost in it.
"Alright, darling!" She grinned at me. "I think you deserve a bath now, right?"
"Y-yes." I blushed.
The annoying purr from the lights was gone, but the stench was still present… although it came from me rather than the carpet. I truly needed a bath!
"Who's a good boy?"
She patted my head a few times, and I felt my hair getting shorter and thicker.
"Who's a good boy?"
I was about to surrender and get into the bathtub, but for some reason my eyes trailed to the sink's mirror… and I saw myself with a pair of pointy, white furred ears. Then I looked at my left hand, which was now a tiny dog's paw, with stubby nails, squishy pads and a short thumb.
That wasn't right…
Something awful was going on…
The words flashed in my memory:
"Beware of the cuties!"
"Don’t let them touch you!"
The signs were clear. If I stayed there, I would become a dog. That cute girl would change me into her lost puppy… I had to run!
The only way out of the bathroom was the pink corridor, so I had no other option. I pushed the girl away from me, right into the bathtub, then I turned around and ventured back into the pink maze, which immediately expanded as I set foot into it.
"No, puppy! Come back! Please!"
Seconds later, I found myself in that same huge complex of pink rooms, with pink carpet, pink walls, smell of wet fur, and constant purring. But now I had a dog’s paw, and my ears would flop up and down as I ran.
Purrrrrrr…
I did exactly what the message had told me. I ran and ran and ran, trying to find that promised exit without success. That place seemed infinite. A cursed office that would either turn me insane or turn me into a dog… whichever came first.
Purrrrrrr…
My body was in survival mode, like a mouse fleeing from a cat. My heart was almost exploding and my lungs were on the verge of crumbling. For a while, I thought I had infinite energy, but soon my strained physical condition became apparent when one of my legs stopped responding and I collapsed on the wet floor…
Squish!
An intense burning took over my limbs, as if all the pain I had been ignoring so far had decided to finally manifest. The sensation was akin to having my muscles stretched and set on fire at the same time. Even my diaphragm was throbbing and my throat was dry as a desert. I tried to crawl, but that also proved useless, as I had no strength left in my body.
Purrrrrrr…
I laid there on the moist carpet, crying silently and terrified that the cute girl would eventually find me and finish my transformation while I was helpless to fight.
Purrrrrrr…
My eyes frantically darted around the room, sure that she would soon appear from somewhere. But all I saw were pink, empty rooms.
My dog ears twitched and moved around, trying to capture the sound of steps so that I could know when she was about to come. But all I heard was the constant purring of the lights.
Purrrrrrr…
In the end, she didn't show up and nothing special happened. My panic turned into fear, then into hopelessness, and finally into emptiness and mental exhaustion.
While I waited for my energy to return, I spent long minutes exploring that dog paw with my human hand. I trailed my fingers over those squishy pawpads and scratched the fur that had taken over its back. I tried to open and close that thing, but soon realized all human mobility had been lost… it was as useless as a paw.
I couldn't stop comparing that thing to some sort of mutilation or gruesome birth defect. It simply felt alien and horrifying. Was it permanent? Could medicine even reconstruct my old hand? Would I change back if I managed to escape the maze?
Purrrrrrr…
I also ran my fingers all over those fluffy ears, with a mixed feeling of cringe and pleasure. It did feel good to scratch behind them, and it even helped me relax a bit… however, humans weren't meant to have ears like that, so every touch sent chills down my spine.
Purrrrrrr…
While I laid there on the wet, pink carpet, too tired to get up, I could feel that stinky moisture on my naked chest… and the way it seemed to be absorbed by my skin.
I knew what was going to happen soon: That feral madness would eventually hijack my mind and throw me into another howling frenzy, just like before. In fact, I could already sense it, as my thoughts trailed off and my inner voice began to purr together with the lights.
Purrrrrrr…
I growled uncomfortably, and stretched my limbs a bit, before getting into my fours and continuing to explore the place aimlessly. My ears spinned around, searching for any sound that wasn't a purr. My nostrils sniffed at the air, searching for any smell that wasn't that of wet fur.
I tiredly moved around from pink room to pink room, like a curious animal would. And the strangest part was that I was fully conscious of what I was doing. If I wanted to, I could get up on my two legs at any moment, but I didn't. I could choose which direction to take, but I didn't. My body simply followed some weird instincts and I let it loose.
Purrrrrrr…
The thing that kept my mind busy for most of the time was how bothersome those asymmetric hands felt. The dog paw seemed more comfortable to step into, while my human palms felt clumsy and unnecessarily big. It was similar to walking with a boot in one foot and a sandal on the other…
Purrrrrrr…
I lost track of time, hours had probably passed, my throat was aching and I desperately needed water. Part of me considered licking the carpet for hydration, but neither my dog instincts nor my human mind liked the idea.
Purrrrrrr…
A few pink rooms later, I caught a glimpse of something not-pink. A small, circular, red container in a corner. It was adorned with the drawings of little paws and the name "puppy" written on it. But most importantly, it was full of water!
I lowered my head into the bowl and started consuming that refreshing substance. With my hind end raised and my arms bent, I drank from the damn thing until it got empty. Then I even licked the last drops. Yet, I still wanted more… So I held the thing in my mouth and carried it with me around the pink maze.
I made two turns to the left, one to the right, and entered a small, white kitchen where that cute girl was cooking lunch. The smell of delicious stew was in the air and there was soothing blues music playing in the background.
I placed my dog bowl next to her and looked up with puppy eyes, begging for more water.
"Hello, puppy!" She smiled at me and picked up the bowl. "I'm making that stew that you love so much!"
I happily nodded my head at her while she filled that thing with water and put it back on the floor right in front of me. However, before I could hydrate myself, she poked my nose a few times, causing me to sneeze.
"Cute puppy!" She giggled.
My nose was teased again and again, resulting in a series of sneezes, each of them causing my face to push out a bit into something long that partially obstructed my lower field of view. I could feel my mouth and nose fusing together and my tongue growing so much that it flopped out… bits of drool dripping on the floor.
"Good boy." She patted my head.
I once again leaned into the water bowl, but this time making good use of that new long tongue. I sunk it into the liquid, bent it backwards to form a tiny spoon, then brought it back to my mouth. So refreshing… so good…
"Good boy." Her hand went on to massage my lower back. "Good boy."
I heard some painless cracks as my spine gained a few extra vertebrae, pushing against the skin directly between my butt cheeks. A tiny stub formed and gained length, being immediately covered by a layer of long, white fur.
"Are you happy, my puppy?"
That thing attached to my rear elongated and moved from one side to the other, wagging so much it created a gentle breeze. I finally had my very own tail to show my owner how much I appreciated her love…
Wait a minute…
I looked at my own reflection on the bowl, and saw a young guy with furry ears, a long muzzle complete with a black nose at the end, sharp canines and a giant tongue.
Was that… me?
(Beware of the cuties! Don’t let them touch you!)
I had just let her caress my back and poke my snout…
(Don’t trust anything except what you’ve brought with yourself!)
I had just picked up a bowl from the floor and drank directly from it.
(Run! Run! KEEP RUNNING! UNTIL YOU FIND THE EXIT!”)
"Ready for your bath?" Her arms opened and she meant to hug me…
My tail tucked between my legs in fear. I dodged her embrace and once again fled as quickly as I could, returning to the pink maze while the girl begged me to come back. I didn't even bother to stand on my two feet…
Purrrrrrr…
Once I was sure to have lost the girl, I stood up and reduced my running to a regular walk, trying to preserve my energies as much as possible. The last thing I wanted was to find myself collapsed on the floor, absorbing that weird carpet liquid that made me act like a stupid dog. If I was caught a third time, I knew it would be my end.
Purrrrrrr…
I continued my search for the exit, marking the walls with my key, and trying to always follow in the same direction. However the maze was so huge and so confusing to navigate, that I ended up seeing my own Xs again a few times…
Maybe my only way out would be to get lucky enough to stumble upon some exit. Maybe I would eventually fall through the floor a second time and return to the concrete stairs. Maybe a magical entity would eventually rescue me. I refused to think there was no way out…
Purrrrrrr…
Having one useless paw and a pair of floppy ears were already dysphoric, however my new additions were even worse! I simply couldn't get used to having that long muzzle extending from my face, constantly showing up between my eyes and forcing me to stare at it. That damn nose also made every smell a hundred times worse! I could even sniff my own fear!
Talking about fear, that annoying tail of mine was simply locked in place, tucked between my legs all the way to my belly button, tickling my skin with its fluff. It took me almost an hour to relax enough for that limb to return to its original position, loosely dangling from my butt. Still, every time it touched my arms, I would get startled and release a tiny yelp.
My body felt as much out of place as the empty rooms around me…
Purrrrrrr…
Although that cute girl didn't seem to be chasing me, I wasn't one bit safe. As I walked barefooted on that moist, pink carpet, I could still sense my soles slowly absorbing that liquid. It was only a matter of time before I got myself intoxicated. To keep my contact area to a minimum, I tiptoed my way around, begging that each room I came into would be the last… Praying that I still had some time left.
Purrrrrrr…
A few minutes later, I found a red chew toy tossed on the floor. But I ignored it and kept going.
Purrrrrrr…
Later I found a tiny dog bed on a corner, inviting me to take a comfy nap. I pondered for a while, wondering how nice it would feel, but eventually ignored it and kept going.
Purrrrrrr…
Then I found a big plush on the floor, lying on its belly with its hind end facing me. Such a tease! It reminded me of the good old times when I used to relieve myself on that toy. Part of me really wanted to “work out” all that stress. A lot of sheer willpower was needed to stop myself from humping it like a horny animal…
After much contemplation, I shook my head, ignored the plush and kept going…
Purrrrrrr…
Suddenly, a red ball came out of nowhere and bounced off the pink carpet, moving away from me. I immediately got into my fours and chased after it, thinking about all the nice ear scratches I would receive if I brought that ball back to my owner.
I followed the object as fast as I could, ignoring the fact that it was making strange turns and never seemed to slow down. It was always inches away from my mouth, so close yet so far. I could even smell the scent of my owner's hand on that ball!
Damn it! I want this ball!
After plenty of turns, that thing led me to a nicely decorated room, with red carpet, a white sofa, a big tv, pretty paintings on the walls, and soothing blues playing in the background. The ball kicked a few more times and eventually stopped an inch away from the girl's feet, who was sitting on the couch and looking directly into me with a welcoming smile.
"Good boy!" She said, "You are the best ball catcher!"
She scratched under my chin, causing turfs of white fluff to sprout like a snuggly scarf around my neck. Then she trailed her fingers across my back, moving from my shoulder blades to that wagging tail. My spine cracked and popped as my bones rearranged in a way that would better fit my horizontal walking.
"Good boy!" She kissed the top of my head. "I'm gonna fill the bathtub now. Meanwhile, you can play fetch!"
She threw the ball into the pink corridors, and I mindlessly chased after it…
Purrrrrrr…
I hunted the red ball, focusing my attention on the task at hand and ignoring everything else, making quick turns in the pink rooms and never losing sight of the object. Capturing that thing meant head pets, ear scratches and belly rubs. I wanted all of those!
I was merely a snout away from it. I could basically feel its taste. So close! The reward! The hunt! My owner’s approval! But then, I tripped and crashed on a wall. My body rolled helplessly and the world spun in a dizzying fashion. When I finally managed to get back on my fours and assess the situation, the ball was long gone.
Why did I tumble?
I looked down at my front legs and realized that there was something weird about them. Something that made my heart skip a beat. I had a completely alien right paw, covered in skin rather than fur, with long fingers that resembled the legs of a fat spider, with short nails rather than claws, and other absurd details.
That stupid looking paw was probably the reason I had tripped, and…
Oh…
Wait…
That was my actual good hand…
I wasn't a dog…
I was a human…
Right?
Purrrrrrr…
I tried to stand up on my two feet, but my back was completely hunched, so I kept falling back into my fours. I tried to visualize how life used to be before I had fallen into that maze, but my past had already melted away into a pink mess. I tried to speak, but only barks would come out.
I was so tired…
Purrrrrrr…
The red ball was gone and I had nothing to chase, so I continued to wander around the pink emptiness, waiting for anything that wasn't pink to show up. I was so done with all of that. I just wanted to rest…
Purrrrrrr…
I can’t stand this anymore…
Purrrrrrr…
Please…
Purrrrrrr…
Someone…
Purrrrrrr…
Woof…
I eventually came upon a trail of tiny dog biscuits, reminding me of how my owner used to attract my attention with those things, often ending at the car when I had to go to the veterinary, or in front of the bathtub, when I had to be cleaned.
Given my stench, it was probably the latter.
chomp… chomp… chomp…
I ate the biscuits one by one, following the path until I found the white bathroom, with a full bathtub, and my lovely owner waiting for me. There was a certain deja vu to that scene.
"Come here, pet."
She grabbed me in her arms and my body shrunk to a third of its original size. I was placed in the warm, soapy water and she rubbed my body with a sponge, making sure no inch would go unscrubbed.
Patches of fur completely covered me, keeping me warm and fluffy. My four limbs turned into tiny dog legs that ended in tiny dog paws, helping me better stabilize. My chest grew a few extra nipples and gained a more barrel-like shape. And, finally, my mind felt safe.
She took me out of the water and wrapped me in a towel, patiently drying every inch of my furry self, then finishing the job with a hairdryer. The stench was gone!
She hugged me, breathed in deeply, and said how nice I smelled.
My tail wagged.
I was put back on the floor and a collar was clicked around my neck.
We returned to the pink corridor, but it was no longer a giant maze, just a normal corridor. It connected the bathroom, with the kitchen, the tv room, her bedroom and the front door. Only a silly dog like me could possibly get lost in a place like that.
Lying on that tiny, pink room, I found a dog bed with blankets, a squeaky chew toy, a furry plushie, a crayon drawing on the wall, and a tiny puddle of urine from my little accident earlier that morning.
The girl brought me to the kitchen and fed me a nice bowl of stew, petting my head and calling me a good boy. Then she sat in front of the TV and placed me on her lap, calmly brushing my back with her long fingers, making my eyes start to slowly close. However, moments before I fell asleep, a strange image showed on the screen: The picture of a young, familiar boy, with the words "missing"...
There was something about him that felt strange…
As if I had seen that human before…
Elevator…
Grey stairs…
Talking girls…
My owner changed channels, and scratched behind my ears. I shrugged off those weird thoughts and allowed myself to rest. A silly pet like me should not be concerned with human affairs.

I like cosmic horror, where the reader is given a few details but never gets the full picture. Cosmic horror is about the fear of the unknown and the desire to understand what can't be explained.
The Backrooms wiki, for me, is a big disappointment, because it explains too much and turned a cool idea into a bunch of people trying to come up with "cool" levels.
My favourite lore of the Backrooms comes from the YouTube channel who popularized it, in which the Backrooms are presented as a very mysterious thing that we can't really understand. So we are left wondering about what it "could be". In this sense, our imaginations will always come up with something much more horrifying that what any of the backrooms-wiki could ever create.
Edit: however, you are free to add this level to the wiki lore if you want ^^
