Ankhesenapep was born in to a cult that followed Apep the Dark god of Chaos. After the written counterpart was slain by the Gods, Apep followers were forced yield their worship or face great consequences. While her family was either exiled, enslaved or slain, Ankhesenapep made the wise choice of escaping into priesthood. While she acted in the name of order and truth, she quietly kept praying to the dark serpent. Her loyalty was rewarded with dark magic at her control.

As she grew older she became regarded as the most beautiful priestess in the kingdoms along the Nile, so little known was that she was also the most cunning. She had successfully planted herself amongst the upper class before reaching 20. Only two opposed her, The Pharaoh herself and her guardian Shamira. When the plague came, the priestess was quick to side with the heir, and when Shamira fell ill and vanished with the Pharaoh dying after she was able to stand by the throne. However, the plague continued, slowly killing the populace. Seeing the writing on the wall, she abandoned the pharaoh's heir. Inevitably, she contracted the plague and in an effort to survive, she gave her soul to Apep in exchange to live. The Chaos serpent answered, and even gifted her a golden mask to shield her beauty. Centuries later she returns to the mortal plain, empowered and ready to claim her kingdom
