I've seen your sewing, its not bad, and its reinforced with the zigzag stitching. Not everybody does that :)

I fully handsew THEN machine sew ;D keeps fur out of the seams much better so you don't spend hours brushing it out

naw, its not too bad, but if they suit had as many pieces as the one beetle is making, I'd probably grin and bare it with just doing pinned machine sewing :P

I've tried serging fur and I didn't like the results. It makes a much more obvious seam, especially because the serger cuts the extra seam allowance as it goes. So the seams done't look right when picked.
