Today I'm going to talk about one of the most popular series currently right now in YouTube as known as The Backrooms series.the series tells a tale of a company that was funded by the government (in my perspective)to create an ever expanding space or infinite space to solve their residential needs and storage problems.the company is named Asnyc with its director not yet revealed to the public and their vice director who name is Mr. Ivan Beck,whose intention is still yet unknown but clear as he had stated once in a press conference in 1989.the series is very popular and receive a lot of attention to the creator aka Kane Pixels,who you might recognise for his astounding Attack On Titans found footage series or his other channel which is Not Kane Pixels that he often use to post his music as well some other miscellaneous videos.
In the series,Kane introduced us to a totally new canon or lore that is much different than the wikidot,liminal archive and the fandom wiki.it was received positively by the Backrooms community and everyone were pretty surprised by his skills considering that he is 16 but somehow managed to make what looks like a real video of The Backrooms but not really:p
But I'm not going to talk about his success or anything,I want to talk about the content of the Backrooms series he made.more specifically,the lore.
As all we know,the Backrooms is either created, discovered or a mix of both.it still a question and debate within the community, especially with people who loves to make various theories about it.
One most logical theory said that it is a mix of both,an anomaly was discovered by the government and they gave it a name which is called the Null Zone.i recommend checking out the first video of Kane Backrooms series which contain a list to an unlisted video titled "Archive.tar." for more information about the Null zone.
Anyway,back to the theory,the theory suggests that the government found the Null Zone and built a machine to manipulate it called "Low Proximity Magnetic Distortion" system to build a gate away to the Backrooms or codenamed "KV31" given by the company who is responsible for machine which is Asnyc.it is the reason why the third video of the series is called "First Contact" because they found something theyve been wanted to use.still,they had to do some research on it and built a lab within the Backrooms to learn more about the Backrooms true nature.
Other theory suggests that the Backrooms is made by a super computer that malfunctioned and gave out a horrible outcome,something that the company didn't expect to happen.so they made the same system mentioned above and access the Backrooms to make a deep and intricate research of it.this explained the lab in the Informational Video and the footage from "Archive.tar."
The most nonsensical one I have heard(quoted,heard) is that the Backrooms is prelude,a beginning of the Backrooms Wikidot story which is easily debunked by Kane who said he won't be making anything related to the wikidot or even a slight reference.
Explanation of certain things in the series:
It is clear that most people cannot really connect the dot unless they talks with the people who loves theory discussion aka that will be me lol.thankfully I can explain it in a way that you can understand, basically simplifying the things that are not clear in the series.
-fourth member of the hazmat team in the "Missing Persons".
If you look carefully,there's only three people when they found the body of John Doe(placeholder name) but when they were walking to the location either intentionally or aimlessly,they were 4 people in there.2 in the front and one in the back,including the camera man recording in the middle.later when they discovered the body, the fourth one is missing and is nowhere to be seen AND nobody seems to notice or questioning about it.this was finally explained or shown in the "Informational Video" which shows the same team from "Missing Persons" with the fourth guy splitting up because he heard a voice of people in one of the room beside them,theorised to be the Null Zone.the guy later "warped out" which I will layer explain and he began wandering around looking for help,only to stumble upon a lab.oddly enough he had a card for it that able to access them and stepped in,checking out before the alarm sets up and force him to scurry away.
So...what happened there..?
Now this is interesting,the room or space as I would like to call them that he went in might be a Null Zone.short explanation,Null Zone is a kx field which is pretty complex but in general is known as electric or magnetic field that seems to be used for the "Threshold" aka the gateway to the Backrooms as shown in one of the schematic of it in the series.people theorised that it can manipulate time and sent the guy 2 weeks into the future where the lab is already finished(see "Motion Detected") and the reason why the alarm sets off even after he used his card is because of two reasons.
The first one is the guy is contaminated since the Backrooms is hazardous and full of bacteria and fungi that can slowly kill someone from the inside(see "Autopsy Report")and the alarm detected a presence of infected person then sets off upon sensing it.
The second one is if you look closely during the TV scene in the "Autopsy Report",there's a paper or a document of an employment contract termination made by Asnyc themselves.this made up a conclusion that the guy went MIA then later his record or affliction with Asnyc is removed and deleted.the alarm sensed him as an intruder rather than a threat.
Entity is once a human theory.
Following the Autopsy Report of John Doe, presumably either Kane Pixels(a camera guy from The Found Footage)or Nicholas Bolton (a guy briefly shown in Missing Persons poster),it seemed like the decaying process of the body is stunted which mean it was paused.some part of his skins are preserved while other is decaying while it is spreading some sort of fungus.this lead to a theory that the entity that chased Kane Pixels is a human that once trapped in The Backrooms before they got heavily mutated into something else,leaving nothing but vein or muscle as their only functional body part.people seemed a bit skeptical about it at first but after the reveal of a new entity sighting in Motion Detected,it might be considered as true....but we will never know.
Ivan Beck true intention.
Yes,we all know that the Backrooms are made or discovered to serve as a storage room for the government to use but what if...Ivan Beck know something that we don't know...?
I would like to remind you that Ivan Beck is a vice director,not the main director of the company.it mean he helps and initiate the project of KV31 written and planned by the director while supervising the whole thing.this make a lot of speculation from the theorists that Ivan Beck is hiding something else as he is very determined to keep the Threshold open and insist on canceling the project despite knowing that innocent lives are taken by the result of KV31.they are aware of people noclipping,they are aware of the earthquake they produced by the intense amount of energy released by the Threshold (See Collateral.mov),they are aware people has gone missing and the case spikes in a worrying level but they refuse to close it and continue on researching the Complex.no one is asking question about it,no one is doubting Ivan Beck about his certainty of the project.
So far I'm gonna stop here and edit this page someday to explain more of the interesting theories because I'm tired.dont worry though,I will be back to continue discussing about them
