This is from a story  unownace and I wrote years ago called "Rise of the Cyberoids."

Before Hanna Cinnebel, Winslow Furry was the mayor of Little Shock Town. During his final years as the mayor, the events of the Cyberoid (cyborgs from space bent on assimilating all sapient life into their collective)invasion transpired. Here he is in his office, looking at Omegus (the assimilated Ace Spade the Pikachu) enter. Rather than fleeing to safety along with the evacuating civilians, Winslow stands his ground, prepared to go down with his town to buy time for the streets to empty and perhaps if possible deliver a surprise blow to the cyborg invaders.

He survived the ordeal and is now retired.
