Ratchet: Unknown is called "Sole Survivor" in the EU version. It's weird that they changed this particular title; in the past they only did it when the title was an innuendo or nobody would get the reference outside the US.

There is a way to go around the patrol mission, but you have to do the tickle endurance lab mission.
When you get caught by Dr. Moon and escape, you can go back and talk with him and offer yourself as a tickle victim/volunteer.
It's super hard, because it's easy to pass out because of the tickle torture. But when he finally let's you go, the patrol part is WAY shorter.
