Imminent danger? Oh, the danger is past and gone, I am working on a very big project now. I am illustrating an almost exhaustive collection of thousands of traditional recipes from all of Italy which is being organized by the MIBAC/PSAE (cultural department of Italy, food [and other things, that they do not count] division!), my father is working on this and since they want to make the book look very traditional but new I managed to get to help work on it; thanks to my father ^^;.
Not many people do things like this anymore, and they said that it looks very authentic and not forced. ^^
It is very fun; a little annoying though, because I do not eat meat and I will have to draw a bit of that...
So yes, I already got a offer. Very strange, because I always thought that I would make a better architect than illustrator, after all, this style is not very unique, but I guess that like Random, I will also make new things that are old... but new! That is how he put it anyway.

Hmm, I see! Drawing in a recipe book! That's pretty excellent! I can see why they'd want you. It is really quite perfect if you're going for traditional and authentic. When I said that I was mostly thinking about books on, say, anthropology, but of course the're many roads that lead to Rome.
Actually I don't think I've ever drawn meat outside of terrifying metaphors of abstract art. So I understand your hesitation. (I'm a vegetarian as well.)

Hmm, I actually was tasked with doing that when I was in school. Only it was a pig for a sign, so that those who're religiously opposed to eating pigs knew that was inside a dish.
I drew the pig so beautifully that they just wrote 'pig' on the sign and threw mine out.
I suggest you do something similar. Draw the most beautiful, charismatic, peaceful, majestic cow you can manage. :3
(Oh, and I adopted the saying to emphasise the ability to take different roads!)

I will tell you a little secret that is not so secret. Since this project is so big (It is going to be three volumes with about a thousand something pages each), every illustration you see me put here will probably be used in the book. So I ask you, if I were to submit the picture of the quails for publishing would you consider it a fair enough try at what you said?
No paraphrasing of such famous sayings! You have to travel every road, go through one, come back using another and then travel again using another road again.

Hehehe, I don't think they'd let me publish a breasted quail in this book, perhaps a breast of quail. ^^;
Thank you again for the very nice words! =)
Pity that people will ignore them, but I think that if younger children see the book (everyone wants to open really big books!) and see the animals they will be more affected by them.
I wonder how Random will react when I tell him that I probably am going to submit the image of him as a cook (after re-drawing it more nicely) for publishing.

Ha! My goodness, you really are quite mad, my dear lady!
I don't know how many times I've said it now, but your work is absolutely beautiful! It's stylized and it feels so old, but it's not at all forced! It just 'is', you know?
I absolutely adore how you drew the hill. <3
And everything, absolutely lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're grand. =3
I think I'll love you three quarters of how much I love Queen Latifah now! =D
You're almost there! =P
