An excellent commission from  Gorezing who does some simply amazing work. Completely nailed what I wanted for this picture.

The scene in this picture takes place in a post-apocalypse universe (non-nuclear, and no zombies either, they're tired tropes waiting to die). A young lynx who kept to a rural area following the wars that depopulated the world was finally forced to go to a bigger city to loot for supplies. Along the way, he runs into, and exchanges fire with a group of other survivors. Forced to make his first kill, the lynx sprints from the store, turning a corner into safety while he processes everything that's happened.

(And thanks to Gorezing's amazing idea for the background characters, further action might be coming up soon for poor Aidan.)

I'm toying around with the idea of writing a short story to post to go along with this piece in more detail, as well as outlining the world it takes place in more thoroughly. Give me a prod if building a better alternative to Fallout is something you'd enjoy.
