But let me tell you, it’s a sickening thing to need to lose everything in order to become the person you truly are. People make it sound so easy, so courageous to have your life ripped from you and somehow still manage to keep going. But I’ve got news for you; it’s not. It’s a terrifying path riddle with guilt and regret and shame. In the movies, you find some sense of peace, some way to forget, but you never do. What I did was unforgivable, and believe me there is such a thing.
