Winner High School
First prize

Motivation: On the border between game and reality the artist shows us his world with razorlike sharpness and delicate touch."
The second semester in my first year on the art program on Midgård it was a contest that involved the region's students of ages 13 - 19 revolving around the theme "My world".
We had a few weeks on us to complete some sort of painting or drawing that could be connected to your world, which is a rather wide subject. This painting I first did to express how much I like to construct my own cities, worlds, characters, conflicts in sci-fi and fantasy genres. So it's literally my world, I made it, I am the author of it and it's all mine :3
The judges thought it was about computer games though. I don't complain, there's a thruth that I do play a lot of games.
If I remember correctly, it's 130cm x 90cm painted on plywood with acrylic fastdrying paint.
And if you didn't get it: I WON! Woop! And the iPhone is a great prize to get, but nothing beats the feeling of defeating the senior students in their own game.
