When Mercury's not wearing Kimo, he tends to play him like an accordian. He's always playing Kimo when he's on the Srawcat Pirate ship and he's giving Mona 3 a pick me up since he was too late to pose as a figurehead, but Kimo very musical and mercury knows how to play him well. He's playing it good if you hear squishes and squeaks, and Mercury never heard Kimo yelp since he is careful when playing with kimo.
The Strawcat Pirates and even Crescent get a good laugh and dance when Mercury plays Kimo if he does good, than Kimo gets a fish diaper for a treat, and he'll make sure it's a good fish and not a magikarp and Mona 3 loves hearing Kimo squish and crinkle. Mercury does have some musical talent and if your best friend can morph into a diapercritter minus well get some good fun out of it.

James wanted to see Kimo as a diapercritter and this was based off of an old pic Tato, can't find it, but it was a jakko stream. Artisan isn't the only one with musical talent, though Mercury only plays Kimo as he is a fun toy. This is the trio during a hangout session and when mercury's not wearing kimo, he tends to wear either Mona 3 or others. For fun Mercury might feed Mona to Kimo when he's done performing for Captain Edward.
