James is a stallion that was born into a wealthy family in 19th century New York, but he was born a bastard and was regarded as the unfavorite by both his own father and an intruder by the remainder of the purely-white-coated family.
This would've resulted in a very unhappy childhood indeed, had he not been rescued by his uncle Franklin Duke and his bovine misssus Annebelle, where he was raised for the remainder of his youth on his "Pa's" ranch in Wyoming.
James eventually returned to New York on the grounds of receiving a doctoral education, and now freshly graduated with the title of medical doctor, James hurried back to Wyoming to his adoptive father's side after receiving a distressing letter that Pa is in trouble.
The stallion now is caught in the middle of a turf war between the sheep and cattle, led by his Pa and the crop baron Richard Longhorn respectively, and him siding on the neutral party of Laufrey’s saloon matron. He'll find chaos, hilairty, and maybe, possibly, love~
