Dirtiest Hands=Most Washing//Cleanest Hands=Most Watching
To get the first, and most important thing out of the way, first: Yes, this piece is about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. But, it's also about a far larger picture of war in general.
It's not often that I write a piece broad enough in scope that it excoriates people, who fall on nearly every part of the political spectrum. This is one of those pieces. Politicians, Media, Industry... Fill in the blanks and to a greater or a lesser degree this can apply to anyone out there through all of Society's Four Estates and Five Columns.
It most specifically applies to anyone, great or small, who see little or no moral quandary, whatsoever in the idea of using their fellow human beings as objects, or like Ozzy sang for Black Sabbath back in the day: "...using people just like pawns at chess."
There is NO overt political statement of any stripe being made in this, period.
I am past the point of giving a shit about politicians, period.
All of my sympathies belong to the ordinary people, who are suffering for the actions of politicians, who are indeed using people like pawns at chess.
It is also, yet again, another instance, where I see yet more proof to the old saw that to succeed at politics, merely shedding your ethics is not enough... You have to kill your soul, or at the very least, sell it.
Most of the direct inspirations for this piece are made quite explicitly within it, but for an additional one that is NOT explicitly stated, there was also some influence from an old Shel Silverstein poem with the title of: "The Peace Proposal", because, quite frankly, sometimes Uncle Shelby said it best.
There is also a very well-known quote that I have referred to, namely: "The first casualty, when war comes, is truth." - California Senator Hiram Johnson (1866-1945)
There is also one other inescapable fact about war, and that is that ultimately the ones who most suffer are ordinary people, who are trying their best to live their lives without bothering anyone else.

Dude! I can't help but feel I inspired this one in some way! Excellent work! Thanks for writing it! ;)
And absolutely! Fuck Zelensky! And Fuck Putin! May the blinders eventually be removed, and until that time, I'll send my prayers for the people of Ukraine, Russia, and even the Donbass populace for whom war is nothing new.
Peace to the people! Let the only land left for tyrants be a small grave plot...

too bad nobody cares anymore. I simply can't describe with words how angry I am with how they covered the airport invasion of Dagestan. they went from brainwashing people to have a "care" (programmed idea on how to think) about Ukraine to basically acting like Russia NEVER did anything wrong in the history of humanity. now it's about Israel and Hamas and shit. wonder what the next war people will pretend to care about. maybe it'll be Azerbaijan v Armenia or something. anyways, you have earned a watch from me.
Azerbaijan v Armenia is pretty much over and done (for the time being), and the media didn't give so much as two shits about it. Of course, Azerbaijan (and Turkey) still want to kill some more Armenians (as they never seem to get their fill of that), and Azerbaijan also covets most of Southern Armenia, because they want a land corridor to their enclave between Armenia and Turkey.
With regards to the main media focus on Israel v. Hamas, most of that (especially on social media), is because it's given the hard-core Anti-Semites a golden opportunity to come out of the woodwork, and have that oldest of human cultural hatreds be chic and trendy all over again. I highly suggest two of my previous pieces, if you're interested in what I've had to say about this whole thing in the past. The first of them was: ISRAELI APARTHEID KRISTALLNACHT, which was a deeply-transgressive and didactic piece that I wrote in 2012 about the deep vein of Anti-Semitism (and hypocrisy) I was seeing from the "woke" left even then. I actually started the piece in 2001, when I was still in Undergrad--I was on campus and just coming out of lecture, when the towers came down, and I can still remember how the VERY NEXT DAY, there were assholes on Campus handing out leaflets talking about how it was an "inside job" perpetrated by Mossad. The second piece is one that I wrote in 2014, called: IF IT'S NOT ABOUT THE JEWS..., which is a little more subtle and nuanced.
Thanks for the watch, and the thoughtful comments. :)

we have to respect almighty lord sultan erdgoan him of course for resisting the terrorist state of ruZZia whilst attacking the globalist nato hegemony as well, since you can't joke about that heroic strength for a fight for freedom and democracy against both russian and nato agressors, since you will be jailed for the rest of your life. -the Turkish government (wannabe ottoman empire)
