I got a very tiny handheld and I'm making art in Mario Paint on it! In the future, I might only post these to my Twitter since they are such casual doodles. http://twitter.com/naircatt

Eh, it does have its plus sides, like connecting and sharing with other artists, and being one more place to get your stuff out there, but it's generally a pretty crappy format for art. I also despise their surveillance capitalist business model and will never sign up there.
This is a cute format. It's always fun to have an envelope to push.
I did enjoy looking at your art exercises though.

Thanks! The exercises were challenging. Yup, twitters terrible for art. badly needs some kind of gallery tab. i deeply respect anyone who doesnt use twitter. figued itd be useful to post project wips and exercises, but got distracted by the skinner box of seeing if my art can go viral loooool
It's good to push yourself. One of the cool things about art is that no matter how good you are there's always more to learn.
If Twitter is ever gonna be any good for art some sort of gallery function is critical.
And that's exactly how they get ya... They suck you into a game that's almost impossible to win and even if you do you can't possibly keep it up. But they ALWAYS win. They get your engagement and your data, which they then make actual money off of, and you end up with little or nothing.
Crap, that sounds even more depressing than I intended.

So, it was really really tricky exploring what worked best, but I wound up using a combination of these two things:
- A special Mario Paint rom that lets you move 1 pixel at a time by holding down X. I think it was maybe a Satellaview promotional version?
- A romhacking.net patch that adds Y to undo without doing the special mouse trick on the title screen.
