True story: In late October of 2021, (between Delta and Omicron) we spent 8 days on a Celebrity cruise. One huge ship took us from Miami to Jamaica followed by Bimini then Cozumel then back to Miami. The ship would be our transportation, hotel, restaurant, shopping mall and entertainment.
Our first ever cruise we did not know what to expect, so many things to be doing on deck and below, with three huge swimming pools, 2 fresh water and one salt, one with a movie screen always showing something, a lap pool, 8 hot tubs and spa. one could always find something to do in water. The trouble was whenever the sun was out you were totally exposed to it while at sea. This took some getting used to. Here Duncan finds there is no shelter from it, well we have sunscreen and we need that vitamin D.
This was a maintenance trip so the cost was subsidized by the cruise line to a third of what it would have cost normally in order to test the ship and the crew for when the crowds come since it looked like COVID was waning, we received antibody tests before boarding, disambarkation and on our return to port. The ship could handle 2200 guests but for this trip we outnumbered the crew by 40 at just 360. The ship was ours.
We had a talent for trivia it turned out, though we were outclassed at the Game of Thrones event (too many book questions) when it came to other trivia, be it movie, general, science, Beatles, we won every one we attended. We were however good sports and gave the runners up anything they wanted from our bag of winnings, it was all jewelry and we were dudes after all. At least the Game of Thrones winner got a model of the ship. It's ok, Mom, Sis and a friend's wife got necklaces and earrings in their favorite stones. I swear, we were in an elevator where someone whispered, "It's them...ask them...I'm not going to, you do it" and we were asked if we planned on going to go to such and such trivia. I should have asked if they wanted to know because they wanted free jewelry or if they wanted to win without us. That was all fun and unexpected and our prize sharing made us good ambassadors for being a bunch of Indiana Hoosiers.

Thanks. You're right. I'll tell Duncan what you said. He is my buddy and I am his trainer. He won't know what you mean though, he is oblivious to his peds' powers of attraction. It's a good thing. I like seeing his confused face when I read him such comments.
