First, formal apologies to all hardcore DnD fans.
I know that ever since Drizzit, everyone was like "HELL YEAH, I WANT TO MAKE A GOOD/ANTIVILLAIN DROW!"
And suddenly our vicious race of spider worshippers turned out to be not so bad after all.

But Auvic is still pretty cool, all bad stereotypes considered. He's not really a 'good' Drow. More of a snarky hermit who doesn't want anything to do with anyone unless they have something that could help him later.
Or, more or less, a foil to Uyraies.

The two of them share a kind of sweetly awkward friendship that has some loose mentor-student ish undertones.

This is a bit out of character for both of them. For the life of me, I couldn't tell you why I love drawing them in a quasi-romantic way. Uyraies keeps too much of herself bottled up and Auvic doesn't ever touch anyone or put himself in vulnerable positions. But it's just so FUN.

Man oh man, though, do I love how stiff and awkward Auvic looks. He's got no idea how to hold someone in a comforting way, haha. And Uyraies is so much like a little kid. She just needs some comforting sometimes.

All of the lines and some shading were done with pencil and pen, but the coloring was all photoshop. With a touchpad mouse. I wanted to kill myself.
