Similar to past uploads, I wanted to share the back and forth
Anbessa and I did before starting on colouring their pic :D!
After messing around to get a good ref pose, I sketched up a rough gesture to start exploring the char. Anbessa wanted him to be a little less musculure, so we then went back and pudged them up a smidge/ explored BG options. Once we got the direciton Anbessa was hoping for, I did one more pass to pin down my stylisms and other details before jumping into the final lines. Fun stuff! Will move to scraps in a bit.
Anbessa asked if they could ever have me go back and polish the pic up, which is TOTALLY an option! The only limiting factors are time and money X3.

I love how the progression work is layed out here!😊 The 4th step of the layout looks so roughly polished down to a T!😊✌️ Has a comic/Manga vibe essence going on to it!
