A very late comment I know, but this would explain why my flight to Ibiza was delayed, a macro has decided to take temporary residence on the apron.
Geez, imagine the disgruntled pax for these flights, least the airport and airline staff can say "well if you would prefer to be crushed rather than waiting for the alternative aircraft, as you can't wait for the replacement aircraft, go ahead, but we will have to take you off the crew roster."
