#60 - Ryu | Scales X Smash Ultimate Revamped

Been wanting to do this for quite some time. Ryu was the second addition to Scales X Smash Ultimate and pretty much ever since the next one came out (I believe it was Joker or Cloud), I was pretty unhappy with it. So for the last few months I've been thinking of just redoing it, as it was outdated in terms of Greg's design anyway. Finally I sat down and did it, it only took like a day or so. I think it came out really freakin awesome, especially compared to the old one!
I was planning on just tweaking some of the older ones, updating the heads with the new designs, maybe some other touchups, but seeing how this came out I think I might go in and just update all the pre-redesign ones, besides Dark Samus as I think that one is fine as it is. I figure I'll alternate, new, then remake, then new, then remake etc until the remakes are done. Luckily a lot of the earlier ones are relatively simple costumes, and not to mention I've just gotten faster with painting like this since then.

Here is a comparison of the old Ryu and this new one side by side if you're curious. The old one looks so bad to me. I know it was 3 years ago but I feel like even at the time I could do better than that. The Mario picture I did for SXSU before Ryu still looks good to me, just outdated. Idk what happened with Ryu lol.
