I downloaded half of melodifestivalen 2008 at some point (why 2008? Because. Guess who was on it? This was before I found his discography, and I wanted everything I could find), and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe3Q54DWHs0 is my new favourite Swedish cracksong, and it made me want to draw something really obnoxious and saturated. This is also the weirdest Swedish accent I've heard (not that i've heard many....), some parts sounded almost finnish to my ear at first o-o
you're never too old for lyrics in pictures. ;D
on another note I am so glad I started my Scandinavian journey with Swedish; I also had a phase in high school where I wanted to learn Norwegian (hence "vekke"), and I still kind of do, but honestly the music is a huge part of it for me and IDK if I could deal with all the death metal :I

IDK D:
Well, I can get into it. I rediscovered Patrik Isaksson's music (I hadn't really paid attention to it since I was like 16 or something), and it made me want to learn Swedish xD plus I've found more Swedish music I like in general, and music speeds up learning a ton for me.
NORWEGIAN WILL COME THOUGH. It's very similar, I already understand some of it (but no more than I understand Swedish yet gdkf), but IDK if that will make learning it easy or hard... xD ahaha I heard once Danish people have a hard time speaking Norwegian because it's so darn close.
