I will admit, I really wanted nothing to do with seeing my body as it was for the day. After spending several days of a bunch of people in white coats constantly doing their best to make me feel as much of an animal as they possibly could. It was degrading and even worse, I knew that my support was hinging on me doing this so I couldn’t simply just walk out
So instead I spent much of the day playing video games. Doing my best to just zone out on games where I could still play with my current capacity of hands and doing things to feel as human as I possibly could.
Felix at some point decided he was going to use my lap as his bed. Didn’t try and interrupt my game beyond the occasional demand for attention. Else he just tsat in my lap and let me be me.
