Plasma's not the only scientist around here with assistants and the like. People, meet Charlemagne!

An old friend of Dr. Dimensia's, they first met when one of Dimensia's interdimensional travels led her to a place called the Neuro Dimension. After aiding her in repairing one of her devices, Charlemagne accompanied Dimensia on a few of her travels here and there, acting as sort of a right-hand woman to the cybernetic scientist.

One of the few people who can keep up with Dimensia on an intellectual level, Charlemagne is an expert at operating and utilizing technology far beyond what is normally possible by modern science standards. But there's more to her than meets the eye... in more ways than one! For you see, Charlemagne isn't exactly a regular human, and her biology gives her a pretty interesting ability: a hypnotic stare. By making eye contact with another person, she can put just about anyone in a trance, leaving them in a state of extreme suggestibility that allows her to affect or directly influence their minds to follow her commands. This ability is quite powerful, able to control several people at once, implant false memories into another person's mind, and/or alter their perception of the world around them. With enough force, she can even leave a person trapped in a sort of subjective reality, exercising full control of a person's visual and depth perception by feeding the brain false information. However, this is a very taxing ability, and can only be used on one person at a time.

However, while Charlemagne's abilities are powerful and not easy to overcome, they can be overcome by those with a strong enough force of will or with the help of someone else to bring her subject back to their senses. Also, she finds idiots harder to hypnotize than other types of people. And outside of her powers, while not exactly a normal person, Charlemagne is only about as strong as one, so if someone can overcome her powers, she shouldn't be too hard to subdue.

In contrast to the at times uptight busybody Dimensia, Charlemagne has a more laid-back exterior, albeit frequently with an air of smugness to her. While she may get along well with Dimensia for the most part, she's not above knocking her down a peg when the scientist's ego starts getting a bit too inflated for her liking. One of her favorite ways of doing this is when she uses her power to counter Dimensia's claims of her mind being "too powerful" to succumb to hypnosis. Careful around her, though - she's quite the crafty one, and while she may not be all that strong herself, she is very tactical and can often overcome beings stronger than her in some pretty inventive ways. All the easier to control them that way, after all.
