I originally want to have Geno get so fat from eating too many mushrooms after inspiration of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KC-BK5oQ8k8 [original video died. :c] where Geno refused to eat mushrooms, and now decide to eat shrooms at the end.
Beware the forest's mushrooms, they can be extremely tasty! and addictive.

Super Mario RPG: Legends of The Seven Stars. This fat hero is named Geno. He's a spirit-possessed puppet who goes on adventures to collect the star to fix the wishes that Exor and Smithy destroyed. His adventures morphed with Mario in the later chapters.
