I’m so pleased with how this turned out! The incredible
planariawormova made this, and I couldn’t be happier! This is what I see in my mind when I think about Tylos. Rain, wet coastal cave, peering out to see the beautiful downpour. It’s all perfect.
Tylos is mine/me.

This is really cool. There's a lot to be said about the tumult of coastal weather. The thought of a gentle rain coming down so close to shore is such a rare thing. Had a camping trip go completely south for me last Autumn. Though in the emergency of it there were moments so sublime I'll never forget for all my life. Shuffling to fresh water and rest rooms the rain came down gentle by compare. The bright full moon of the equinox in the clouds parting. Cold and soaked and carved up by hot and cold winds racing through me I'd still stop to look at the moon every walk. Having the shelter of walls like this feels so secure. Though it pains me to see them so lonely. Solitude and silence can allow one a unique perspective to the awe and brilliance of nature. I just think of that time and what pried me away from the moon was thinking "I am burned all over and cold as can be, but there's friends waiting for me I need to get back to, I need to make sure they don't freeze." It was a silly compulsion, they claim they were never in any danger. To me in those moments it was all I could think of. Felt a ping like that looking at this too.
You know I love the coast. It's nice to see some more art of Tylos and your characters. I'm fascinated to know what feelings drove you to commission such.

First off, it’s so good to see you and to have such an evocative reply! Thank you so much. 🙏🏼 My apologies for taking so much time to make my own reply, better late than never.
I’m incredibly in-tuned with tropical landscapes and rain. When I shower, I turn off the lights and either sit or lay, envisioning this scene through Tylos’s eyes, senses, and body. Before I fall asleep, I play the sound of rain to lull me. Yes, there is a sense of aloneness but it’s not a lonely feeling for me, it’s more primal and a direct connection with the elements that rile my gut emotions and feed my brain’s pleasure center.
Also! How is Taernyll? Or has he been retired?

Nature rules. A relationship to the world around you is so important to really live. Rain's nice. There's a lot about it to inspire calm and comfort. As well the discomforts to be stuck out in it. If for some reason you have to stalk around in the rain at least you can trust that most will be on equal footing for senses. Kinda dampens everything huh.
Taernyll is still around. Been drawing him some more recently as a matter of fact. He's been sleeping for a couple years. Convalescence you know?
