Kittfur and Rabbi, That time of year!
This should have been up on Friday for Fox Friday, but my mood was in the dumpster from the previous days events beyond my control, plus whats going on in Ukraine.
BUT it is that time of the year...GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME!!
Though I really can't justify the personal expense, I can't help but want to buy a couple boxes of Thin Mint Cookies from the girls each year to help them out. Plus they are SOOOO Good!
And I can't help but please the dear vixen with her cookie fix either!

As Robert Heinlein once said via one of the characters in Stranger in a Strange Land (paraphrasing a bit since I don't have the book handy at the moment): "The urge to immerse oneself in the troubles of people a thousand miles away has been the cause of more psychosis than anything else in history."
Not that the Ukrainian situation isn't something we should pay attention to and be concerned about -- but immersing ourselves in these kinds of things via the 24/7 "media bombardment", as you say, can't be psychologically healthy. I can't help thinking we were all a lot happier, and a much less paranoid society in general, when we only found out about these things via the evening news at six and eleven, and the morning newspaper, and had time to consider and digest what was said about them before the next updates. Now this stuff just hits you, bang-bang-bang nonstop, every waking minute of the day. No wonder everyone feels overwhelmed.

There's a troop that always sets up on the weekend at my local Dunkin' Donuts! I JUST missed them on Saturday as I went to get a coffee, otherwise I would have bought several boxes of Thin Mints. lol
I dip them in whipped cream! They are SO good! My friends and I call it a "Darkwing Duck", because that shit is dangerous! lol

My Girlscout source told me the bakery that provide the cookies was suffering from supply chain shortages. They could not get cookies for two events. She was upset cause her daughter could not get enough sold for their prizes because they could not get their hands on the cookies. I was told I got the last two boxes of thin mint for now. It was quite the local boon dockle
