Absynthe - Bringing Light to the Void
I rarely follow through when I feel the urge to draw one of my old characters but this time it worked out.
Absinthe felt like she was in desperate need to be redesigned a little but her backstory is still very much holding up to a point where I almost wanted to just copy and paste it here. Instead, if you want to read it, you can do so in the original design: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32801867/
A very good inspiration has been Supergiant Games' Hades that I've been playing over the last 10 days or so and the style it brings to the table. Apart from it being very fun and thoroughly well designed, I mostly admired how well the characters are put into frame, the mix of comic-lining and subtle sprinkles of saturated colours that give it a shiny and otherworldly feel, which I thought would fit very well for the creatures of my neverland setting.
