It came from christmas spirit. El Regalo, the demon of christmas. It sometimes preys upon small children by disguising itself as a present box and when the time comes to open it he pulls them into the box, never to be seen again. His candy canes of doom lay on his back ready to grapple anybody within long distance. Be warned. If you have been naughty, El Regalo will come for you and he will punish you.
