After Até introduced himself to the prince and princess, and Gurri was obviously attracted to Até, Geno left to leave them alone with the excuse to go look for Lana, and Boso didn't want to leave his sister alone with Geno, so he follow him. Gurri quickly took advantage of the loneliness together with Até and began to talk with him.
Até: So, do you accompany your brother here to practice with other deers to fight?
Gurri: Heh, something like that, actually I come with him to also learn how to fight.
Até: *Surprised* Not to offend, but why? You are a girl.
Gurri: Well, I showed my dad that I'm worthy of learning how to defend myself like a male, so he allowed me to learn with my brother Geno.
Ate: REALLY? Wow, you must be very brave, what made your dad allow you to learn with us?
Gurri: Ouh, hehe, It's a long story... I don't want to brag, but do you see these scars on my face and ear? Well, I fought against The Fox, I didn't win, but I was rescued by a man, and in the end I was brave enough to come out safe and sound.
Ate: I can't believe it! That sounds incredible! You must tell me everything in more detail!
Até was amazed at the courage and security that Gurri radiated, as well as how interesting her story was. While Gurri was happy to have liked Até and not only that, to have captured her attention. Perhaps in time, something more would happen between the two.
Até: If you really want to learn to fight, even if you don't have antlers, I can be your instructor, I have a couple of ideas to teach you how to use your body to fight :)

Interesting take on a tragic thread from the seldom referenced sequel, Bambi's Children. Are you planning to continue this theme or this a "one-shot"?
The art is also very well done, not quite the Disney style but a very vigorous rendering. Ate's not a girl, though, unless I missed something.
