been rewatching digimon lately and my only beef with the show/ip is how little sense some of the digivolution lines make. gatomon for example has a consistent cat theme for most of her digivolutions, and then suddenly her ultimate digivolution is a very human looking angel. she's also naturally a champion, whereas literally all the other digidestined digimon are rookies most of the time. PLUS her champion form LOOKS like it SHOULD be a rookie. so i started thinking what a more fitting ultimate form would be for her, or what her champion form would look like if gatomon was a rookie. and i kept coming back to renamon, a very nice looking anthro-animal digimon (who ironically is a rookie who looks like a champion), and how similar the two characters are.

tldr; i fused gatomon and renamon together.

i think it works really well! the only part i was unsure of is where to put gatomon's holy ring, which goes from her neck as salamon to her tail as gatomon (and then her ankle as angewomon). i liked how the belt slot for it combined with the gloves made her look kind of like a cage fighter or a wrestler, and those themes would be fitting, so i went with that, but i also considered her ear, arm, and ankle.

i am taking name suggestions- the only thing i could come up with was 'purlamon' which i thought sounded okay but doesn't have much meaning other than cats go purr.
