An egg cream is a beverage consisting of chocolate syrup, milk, and seltzer, probably dating from the late 19th century, and is especially associated with Brooklyn, home of its alleged inventor, candy store owner Louis Auster. It contains neither eggs nor cream.
The egg cream is almost exclusively a fountain drink; although there have been several attempts to bottle it, none has been wholly successful, as its fresh taste and characteristic head requires mixing of the ingredients just before drinking. The drink can be compared to a traditional ice cream soda, though it contains no ice cream.

HEHEHE,,. oh and what a figure! Thanks for the pic!!!! I need to have a real egg cream the next time I'm in the Mid Atlantic. There's a place here in Portland, OR that makes them. They're not the same. I think they used sprite and non-fat milk . Blah...... Why can't they just do things right?? There's apparently, a very good diner in Brooklyn that gives free refills on egg creams. I'll have to pester someone about what the name of it it is though...... Stay fursuited!!!!! (= Thanks again for the pic!
