Actually, this kind of thing happens to real skunk's owners....

Getting sprayed by their pet skunk or their pet skunk approaching them curiously for there is a difference between a wild skunk that doesn't interact with humans to one that was raised by humans. One is more use to human presence while the other sees them as a potential danger.
