Fireball's Night Terror
When I got Fireball his pin a while ago, I realized how little I've done with him in recent times. Particularly him not appearing in my stories since his debut, So I thought I'd write something for him.
Here we go...

It was a beautiful night on Submarine. Jake and Cobalt had just settled in for the night. They were dozing and were just about to drift off when...
"HEEELLPP!!"
Neither Pokemon were sleepy anymore. They looked at each other, then ran to the source of the cry. They ran into the living room to find Fireball, Jake's pet fox, curled into a ball shaking and crying. Jake immediately rushed over and scooped up Fireball and held him in his arms. "What happened?" Jake asked. "T-T-There's a g-g-g-g-ghost engine t-t-trying to g-g-get m-me..." Fireball said shakily. Jake and Cobalt frowned, it broke their hearts seeing Fireball so scared and upset. Jake held Fireball in a hug. "Come on, let's go into my room." he said, before walking back to the room he and Cobalt shared, with the blue Pikachu trailing behind.
Jake wanted to find out about the supposed ghost that scared Fireball, but he knew that comforting the fox came first. As soon as they reached his room, Jake sat down on the bed, Cobalt laying beside. Jake stroked Fireball's back and back of the head. "You're alright..." Jake said softly "You're safe with us." Fireball whimpered. "Shhhh... Don't cry, you're ok. We won't let anyone hurt you." said Cobalt as he and Jake hugged the little fox. After a while of them having their arms wrapped around Fireball, the fox's sniffles and scared whimpers stopped.
Jake and Cobalt broke the hug, but Jake still had Fireball in his arms. "Are you alright now?" he asked. "I'm a bit better now." Fireball answered. "That's good." Cobalt replied. "Now then, tell us what happened." Jake said softly. Fireball was quiet for a while, before he spoke. "I was walking along those abandoned tracks on the east of the island, when a ghost engine appeared in front of me. It said it take me to the end of the line, then it ran at me..." Fireball said, shivering as he did so.
"What did this ghost engine look like?" asked Cobalt. "...It looked like Thomas, but he was silver, and had a wrinkled face and-" Fireball stopped, fear taking over again, But Jake and Cobalt could tell who he was talking about. "You saw Timothy, didn't you." Jake asked. Fireball found his voice "Yes, how did you know?" he asked. "Timothy has been plaguing the Thomas community since 2014." Cobalt answered. "How did you find out about him? Jake queried, he and Cobalt had watched Thomas videos on YouTube with Fireball many times, but they never watched anything about Timothy. "PJ told me about him." Fireball replied "He told me about how he was possessed by a demon and killed an entire train of passengers by going off an unfinished viaduct." Jake let out a frustrated sigh. He was definitely going to give PJ a piece of his mind next time he saw him, but for now, he needed to reassure the fox.
"Fireball, Timothy isn't real, and neither is the story about his homicidal rampage." Jake said. "It was." Fireball insisted. "It was a cut scene from Ghost Train." "It certainly wasn't." Cobalt replied. "If it was, it would have been all over the news." "Indeed." Jake put in. "Not only that, but remember when we were watching the episode?" "Yes." Fireball answered. "Did the ghost engine look anything like Thomas?" Cobalt asked. "No, it was Percy with white streamers." replied Fireball. "Exactly. If there was a cut scene, the ghost would have looked like Thomas." Jake answered. "Not to mention that Timothy was never in the Railway Series. And there's no way that Awdry would have written anything about demons in his books, nor would he have approved of such a scene in the TV series."
"Than where did PJ come up with all that?" Fireball inquired. "He didn't." Cobalt answered "The story came from someone online who clearly had nothing better to do, and was written to seem like it actually happened. Those types of stories are called "Creepypastas"." he explained. "And PJ found this story and thought it would be funny to scare you." Jake added. "Though I doubt he'll find it funny when I talk to him tomorrow..." the Buizel thought to himself. "Creepypasta..." said Fireball "That's a funny name..." the little fox felt much better, but he had one more question to ask. "If Timothy isn't real, than what actually happened to the ghost engine from the episode?"
Jake and Cobalt looked at each other, the real story was never fully revealed, the only detail of it being that the engine fell into a gap. "Well..." Jake said "It's probably not a good idea to be telling any more ghost stories tonight." Cobalt answered hastily. "Yeah." Jake replied. "But how about we tell you another time, ok?" "Ok." answered Fireball. "Good." said Jake "Now, how about you sleep with us tonight?" "That would be nice." Fireball replied, before letting out a yawn.
"Looks like someone's getting tired." teased Cobalt. "Let's get to sleep, shall we?" "...Yes... Let's..." Agreed Fireball. Jake and Cobalt lied down, with Fireball curled up between them. The three said goodnight, but Fireball stayed awake for a bit longer. He was glad he had Jake and Cobalt to take care of him. While they were his owners, to him they felt more like a set of parents. He wanted to talk with them about it, but decided to save it for when he felt comfortable discussing it with them.
"Goodnight Daddy, Goodnight Papa..." Whispered Fireball before he drifted off to sleep.
