“I don’t care what we do or where we go, but I want to be with you, Joey.”

As the day comes to a close, Dragonheart and Jericho seal their bond. After the events that led to the curing of Dragonheart’s madness, Dragonheart began to question herself. Her purpose was her life, being a hero comes with the dragon blood- or at least, that’s what she thought at the time. Ever since Jericho brought to light the reason behind her creation, she grew distracted. She lost focus.

Once Dragonheart realized that she was becoming more of a burden than a help for the Titans, she brought up her grievances with Nightwing, telling him her thoughts are no longer on the team, but rather somewhere else. As if she’s still searching for something. She wanted to leave the team for a while, to get her head on straight and find her motivation again.

Having to leave and not know if she’s coming back is heartbreaking, as the Titans are the only family she’s known for so long. However, she won’t be alone. Jericho had things to do outside of the Titans ever since she joined up, and he often leaves to pursue his own goals. With nowhere else to go, she knows where she has to be. As friends or as lovers- it doesn’t matter.

She wants to be there for all of it, and after reuniting with him once again, they’ve become inseparable.
