A gift from , some time ago.
This was originally a funny art he got me depicting me in a Ushanka, to embrace Russian ways, but that lead me to think about, how close we've become. Given recent world events.
This... is more or less a follow up to my journal post, this may not be wise to post at this time, and I'm sorry if this gives off bad messages (Ushanka == millitary but I don't think it does, this is what I mean), but I want to confess my feelings.

Despite (once again) not actually being Russian (I am American), I have always had this... unusual, interest in the country, despite not knowing anything about their people for a long, long time.
I've always felt alone, barren, and days like valentines day had no purpose to me: how can a lonely person love when he's alone? That is until the day, several years ago I was (thankfully) pulled into the furry community, and got to meet people who, understood me.
And many of those people, are Russian; these people were more than fantastic artists, they are compassionate human beings, more so than the people where I live infact.
Especially 1: , who has touched my life in a way not even my own biological parents could have, I feel... loved, and not alone for once in my life. He, all of you, gave my life purpose, I almost feel like one of you... Like family...

That is why, I cannot stand this war. I've never been one for politics or world news, but this is something else, this feels personal to me, because of the bonds I've formed with these people.
I know a wonderful Ukrainian artist who's currently fearing for their life and the lives of their people, and all the previously mentioned Russians who are seemingly powerless to do anything about this. I'm trying to stay by their sides and comfort them through these hard times.
I cannot just stand back, stay silent, I have to make it clear where I stand on this.
