Went to the post office today like a hurpdurp because it's Columbus Day and all post offices are clooooosed
But after I got back my grandma told me to go outside and look over the railing. Why? Because I needed to see the spider!
Apparently she (grandma) knocked it down last night, but orb weavers will go ahead and make their web where they damn well want it. She (could be male, I am not very good at determining the sex of spiders) apparently wants her web there so!
There it goes.
Funky angle attributed to how I was leaning over her web. The support strands on that thing are crazy-strong.

Really? I can't say I've ever seen an orb weaver in Wisco when I lived there. Bunch of the harvestmen and some other big ol' spiders.
Although my mom recently did send me a photo of one she has near her house.
Not sure why this one was out during the day though, apparently she's been there for a few days.
