Born from a project in wich I try to morph stilistical animals from heraldics into a naturalistic species.

The Turdacil. Like a modern days South American harpy he preys on many mediumsized creatures. He lives in The medievil alps and Schottland, though some think it also called England their habitat. It´s prey constists mostly of Rabbits, marmots and wirld goats, but sometimes also preys on capricorns and domesticated sheep. They hunt from the air. But also bugger is not safe.
The male Turdacil has a horn and sinificant red markings. The female is more inconsiderable and without any horns.
When they breed the males matingritual consists of a flightshow with lots of nosedives and complicated zigzag routes. After mating the pair lives together until one of them dies. They live in caves, where they also lay their eggs into a stonenest. They are not poikilothermal. Both parents take turns in breeding and hunting.
