Hello, if this is the first time you've seen me! I'm just a humble freelance artist from Russia.
I think everyone is aware of the current situation in the world and no one expected this.
This is a great tragedy, there is no justification for war. But peace has always been a very fragile thing.
My colleagues from Russia and Ukraine and I are ordinary civilians who fell victim to a f*cked up bastard in my government. (I wish him be very dead!!!!)
We are in a very precarious position right now. More than ever. Please, just don’t argue who is in worse now, we are all very afraid and in apathy. War ALWAYS hits innocent civilians the hardest.
But first of all, think about the Ukrainians now, if there is a choice between helping Ukrainian artists and Russian artists, choose Ukraine. This is objective, I think.
I unfortunately do not have any links with lists of Ukrainian artists, I lost them in a huge flow of information. You can drop them in the comments if you have them!
What about me:
Physically I am safe, I am far from the main conflict, I live in the depths of the country.
But mentally, I am broken. All my plans are destroyed and I am still trying to put myself together piece by piece.
I don't know what will happen tomorrow and I'm under a lot of stress.
I'm not sure about the future correct work of PayPal, and I am very afraid of being left without income. I need money for a few months in advance, in order to at least be sure that I will have money for food and mortgage, and, in which case, urgently leaving the country. Of course, I’m not ready for this.... I planned emigration at best in 4-5 years. But I won't be able to stay here anymore if I'm denied access to my main and the only income.
We, real Russians, don't want to be cut off from the whole world, it's not fair. We want to live, not survive.
At least I have a beloved husband, I am not alone, and we have a tiny hope that all this will end soon.
No matter how bad things are, I will try my best.
