I love this drawing and this dinosaur so much. <3

With that said... My friend suggested a "raptor gryphon" to me and then the Sinornithosaurus species in particular.

Sketching the Sinornithosaurus, mind you without a reference at the time, wasn't easy. The feathers on the body were the only thing I ended up getting a reference on. They were the hardest part of this entire drawing!

At the same time I'm proud of myself for getting this dinosaur down. I'm aware that he might not look perfect, but he is still my creation after all. X3

Anyway... I still love him and I might attempt color or another drawing of him at a later point.



Critique:
1. The right wing, where the claw is, the feathers should be over the thumb, not below it.
2. The right hind foot is twisted too far in the movement.
3. The feathers on the right hind foot are slightly messy/displaced.
