With Abigail getting air into her lungs, she was ready to head back in with Rich. However, unbeknownst to either of them, when they were beginning to run back into the kitchen, an unknown vial of black liquid was thrown from out of nowhere. The vial had landed on the baking tray and burnt cookies, breaking in the process, dousing the cookies in the black liquid. After several seconds had passed, the black liquid reacted to the burned cookies, as the tray and burned cookies began to be enshrouded in darkness. Feeling something wasn’t right, Rich turned to look at the baking tray he had just doused in water, where he saw the shroud of darkness beginning to accumulate.


Rich: Uh oh.


Abigail: Rich? What's happening?!


Rich: Abigail. You know when we have been trying to train you with your keyblade every since you got it?


Abigail: Yeah?


The shroud of darkness soon grew, beginning to take form. What came out of it was a Heartless. A Heartless that had a giant box of chocolates with a bow on top for a body, as its legs were composed of chocolate Hearts for legs, and cupcakes making up for the feet, hands, and head. Along with the cupcakes for the hands, it was holding a present on each one. It was the Sinister Sweets Heartless.


Rich: Well, it looks like this is the day to show how much you have learned with it. And how well you can use it.


Knowing what Rich was talking about, and seeing a big monster in front of them, Abigail summoned out her Keyblade, as did Rich. Rich raised his Keyblade up into the air, and used Nature's Favor on himself, and Abigail. As this occurred, a vibrant green glow surrounded him, and Abigail for a moment, causing their strength to increase, as a sickly green glow surrounded the Sinister Sweets, causing its defense to decrease. With its defense decreased, the Sinister Sweets made its first move, as both of their hovering arms began to spin around its body at a very fast pace while it approached them. To the left, Rich dodge rolled to get away from the spinning arms, as Abigail did the same but to the right. The two of them successfully dodged the attack, as Rich did what he could to keep the Heartless’ attention solely on him. He then charged towards the Sinister Sweets from the side while he used Swirling Fire. Rich carried his Treasure Trove with his right hand, and summoned out Darkgnaw with his left. As he summoned out his Darkgnaw Keyblade, both his keyblades were veiled in fire, as he struck the Sinister Sweets 6 times with this attack, causing it to suffer burn damage. Despite Rich trying to keep the Heartless focused on him, the monster turned away from Rich, as it raised its fists, ready to attack Abigail. The Sinister Sweets brought its right fist down towards Abigail, as she raised her keyblade up in front of her, successfully blocking the attack even when she was pushed back a bit by the force of impact. However, even though she had blocked one of the fists, she spotted the left fist up above ready to crash down on her. Abigail was trapped. Seeing this happening in front of him, Rich made a dash towards the left fist, as his keyblade began to faintly glow, aiming his next move on the incoming fist. Rich swung his keyblade, as it released a magical slash hitting the fist. Rich had performed Stopstrike, making the fist stop midair in front of Abigail, preventing the attack.


Rich: Now’s your chance!


Hearing Rich and seeing him help her out, Abigail made her counterattack. She pushed the right fist back, getting some distance away from it, as she followed up with jumping up into the air towards the left fist, and dealt several hits to it, causing significant damage to the left fist. After several seconds had passed, the left fist was no longer frozen in time, returning back to the body of the Sinister Sweets along with the right fist.


Rich: Nice counter there, Abigail!


Abigail: Thanks for having my back!


The two of them smiled at one another, as they got ready for the next round against the Sinister Sweets. Not wanting the Heartless to make the next move first, Rich immediately charged at the Sinister Sweets again, this time jumping up into the air, as he used Crushing Power. What followed was a barrage a downward aerial strikes and teleportation to repeat the process. After 15 hits, Rich ended his attacks against the Heartless, landing back beside Abigail. This was when the Sinister Sweets raised its left fist again. Seeing that Abigail was the weakest link between her and Rich, the Heartless tried to land a punch against Abigail. But as the fist was coming at her, Abigail quickly dodged out of the way at the last second, and proceeded to jump on top of the fist. Jumping from the fist, she landed on one of the shoulders of the Heartless, as she began to attack and strike its head. Seeing Abigail leave an opening for Rich, he used this opportunity to jump up into the air again, as he pointed his Keyblade at the head of the Sinister Sweets. This was when he used Sonic Impulse, and fired 4 shots at the Heartless, getting direct hits at its head. However, after all of these attacks and damage inflicted on the Sinister Sweets, it was still able to keep fighting. Despite one of its fists being planted on the ground, the Heartless used its other fist to land a hit on Abigail, causing her to fall from the shoulder of the enemy, and landed on the ground beside Rich. Knowing that Abigail was hurt, Rich used Imitation Cost, which he used to cast Nature's Favor once more on himself, and Abigail. As this occurred, a vibrant green glow surrounded them again, causing their strength to increase further, as a sickly green glow surrounded the Sinister Sweets again, causing its defense to decrease further.


Rich: You okay, Abigail?


Abigail: Yeah. Thanks for the heal.


The two of them smiled at each other, but quickly turned their focus again to the Sinister Sweets.


Abigail: This is one tough enemy. I never knew Heartless were this strong.


Rich: They usually aren’t. But Heartless that are this big or stand out from the others tend to be the stronger ones. But I did notice we got more damage in when we were attacking at the same time. Which does give me an idea.


Abigail: What do you have in mind?


Rich: I was thinking about that move you suggested to me back then. The one where we both attack at the same time at the same spot.


Abigail: You really wanna try that now?


Rich: It’s a good way to show off how effective it is. And if we truly are in synchronization with one another.


Abigail: Well, if you feel it’s the best option right now. I’m all up for it.


Rich: Alright then. I hope you’re ready to make a run for it on my signal.


As the right fist of the Sinister Sweets Heartless returned to hovering back near the body, it began to move forward, approaching the two. As it got closer and closer, it began to make its arms rotate around its body again. The moment this happened, Rich gave the signal.


Rich: Now!!!


Rich and Abigail made a mad dash towards the Sinister Sweets, but they weren't running towards its body, they were running towards the running fists instead. As the fists continued to spin at dangerous speeds, Rich and Abigail slid underneath them, avoiding getting hit by the deadly hands. When the two of them made it out of the fists' range, they quickly got back up, and ran towards the house. But as they were near the back entrance of the house, they came to a stop. Rich and Abigail watched as the Sinister Sweets turned around, as it made its way towards them. As its fists stopped spinning, it was preparing to make another attack. At this time, Rich and Abigail readied their keyblades, prepared to strike at the right moment. As the Heartless got at close range to them, they used their double team technique, Duo Void Slash. Rich and Abigail were in synchronization, and they both slashed the Sinister Sweets at the same time, slashing at the same mid-section of the Heartless. When the attack connected, the Heartless stayed right where it was, as a Heart came out of its body and began to disappear. With no trace of the Heartless left, the only thing that remained was the burned tray, burned cookies, and a broken vial. The Sinister Sweets was defeated. To see that their double team technique worked, Rich and Abigail cheered each other in joy.


Rich: We did it!


Abigail: It worked!


Rich: You were really great out there, Abigail! You even got a lot of great hits against a Heartless! Showing no fear going after it!


Abigail: I wanted to show you how much I have learned from training with you, Lego and the others. To show that all of the training has been worth it. I’m really glad I could put my skills to the test today. And, thanks for the saves you gave me in the fight.


Rich: Think nothing of it, Abigail. To see you out there fighting with everything you got. That’s a victory in my books.


Abigail: Thanks, Rich. I’m really glad I got to meet you.


The two of them looked at each other’s eyes, giving a warm smile to one another. But before they could go any further, they were brought back to the situation at hand.


????: RICH CHRISTIANSEN!!!!!


Rich and Abigail looked towards the patio doors of the house, realizing what occurred before they fought the Heartless.
