I'm sorry you're having a bad month, But the painting looks really great from here. I like that it looks like the person (he/she?) is standing upright even though it's a side angle, makes for an intriguing outlook on the picture. also the color scheme is very tasteful :)
An odd thought (I hope not to offend with this)
But I see a separate hand holding the cigarette (in which case the person is laying on a bed of leaves). It makes me think of giving away death. And also feels like its my hand XD. Just odd thoughts running through my had.

I actually had an old friend die on me, and my own sickness got worse so I'm not surprised that you managed to catch some of the dark undertones... Painting is one of the ways I process my feeling. I'm happy that it managed to get you thinking a bit!

Unfortunate that your friend died. It's amazing what muses we can find in trauma and stressful situations. Painting can be very healing, and other times damaging to the soul ^_^ either way I like to think that art in general stimulates my brain meats.

I hope whatever it is it recedes. Garlic and laughter are good helpers with many illnesses.

Haha I wish garlic would help! To this day any cure hasn't been found to juvenile diabetes, le sigh.
