Somewhere in that forest that she watches over, there exists a place not touched by winter. There exists a place of perpetual spring, an oasis of serenity and beauty. Deep in the forest, nestled away from the outside world, seen and experienced by few outsiders, it is this place that she calls home. Waterfalls cascade down to the pool below, the beating heart of the forest, all tributaries seem to lead here. All of the woods are beautiful in their own right, but it is to this place that she is drawn time and time again. Something about it resonates with her to her very core. She is a part of it, and it a part of her.
A little expansion on the lore of Fiadh! Someone called her a “fairy pupper” on one the artist’s uploads, and you know what? I really like that. I think it fits really well with the lore I already had for her and her aesthetic, so… now she is a fairy! As it stands, I think she once was seen as a sign of good fortune for some lost civilization and she watched over them in a way. Now that the civilization is gone, reclaimed by nature, she too has returned to her natural state in nature. Now she watches over the forest, a symbol of good fortune to the innocent that venture within or dwell there. There is still a lot to flesh out about her, but I think those are the bones of her story. Originally she was intended to be a sort of canine / dragon hybrid, but she almost always ends up being very much canine aligned. Maybe that might be something to explore with her later.
Also, ahhhhhh! This turned out so unbelievably beautiful! I cannot get over how gorgeous the background is! I love hoe breathtakingly wonderful the background is, and the stylization still draws your eye to Fiadh. And the artist drew her so well! She looks so noble and majestic. And her colors really did end up complimenting the background so well. This is one of my favorite pieces, and I cannot thank the artist enough. Not only for how lovely it turned out, but also for how nice and complimentary of Fiadh they were ^^
