The High Caravan's temporary home was within the camp, near the gate and across from the med station. It was a cluster of connected domes guarded by mages in yellow trim.
Mayor Quid approached with an even step until she reached the foot of the door where a pair of bards blocked the way.
"Mayor Ess Quid of Dunee to see Lady KayLay of the High Caravan," she said respectfully.
The two seemed to recognize the name and parted ways.
"Second door on your right," one said politely.
The inside was not much to write about. It seemed the very same as all the smaller domes in the camp. Save a few extra costly furnishings and an array communication systems.
The second door on her right was covered by a heavy blanket, which she slowly pulled aside to peer within.
"Oh, Mrs. Quid, do come in," the lovely jest within said as soon as she spotted her. She was seated upon the floor with a fawn, one of her daughters perhaps.
Quid smiled back and proceeded within, bidding her hello, followed by the fawn.
"This is Illyn, my little biter," Kaylay chuckled as she stood up to meet the other jest with small embrace. "Oh, I see you've already tested my gift."
Quid peered down at her udder and nodded with a chuckle. "I simply had to. Should get myself used to them. It's a little sore and ticklish."
"I learned to enjoy them, I prefer the heavier kind myself, as you can tell," the lady responded. "So, what are you here for, Quid? Any complaints from the villagers in need of addressing?"
"Hardly," Quid shook her head. "The High Caravan has been more than generous. Instead, my fellow leaders and myself have a request of sorts."
"Oh?" Kaylay asked, tilting her head. A folded piece of paper appeared before her, she took it in her grip and read it over.
Then she read it again.
And a third time.
Each time her smile grew larger. "I see. My caravan sisters and myself would adore a chance to help in this endeavor. We'll be sure to keep it secret from our mate."
"Until he's in position," Quid grinned in return. "We want to show him how much the village of Dunee loves him."
"I think this is exactly what he needs," Kaylay nodded. "Let's go over some details. Then I'll gather my sisters, while you gather the village leaders and we can go o er the finer details."
From that point the plan was in session.

Elsewhere, Oon stuck her weary head from their home and called her son's name. But there was no response. The rest of the family began to file out and look around.
Alas he was nowhere to be seen.
After several weary moments, they sought the nearest guard to report a missing fawn.
