Like many, I was upset with the new worgen female face models recently released by blizzard. I used my paint over skills and my ability to quickly render a more practical, noble and attractive looking alternative.
"savage" should not equal "psychotic"

It is impossible for a wolf to have the front of it lips relaxed and closed, and the sides of the lips revealing fangs without some severe tissue loss on the sides of the face: keep that mouth closed.
A wolf's ear is an identifiable upright, and open shape that can be easily distinguished from that of a feline, or in blizzard's case.. some sort of weird bat...
Widen those pupils and keep the eye round, there's no need to look like a deranged zombie.
Overall widening of the back, lower jaw will give the head a more pleasing and wolf-like appearance.
BTW Blizzard, I'm unemployed, have 3 years of game design experience, and I could easily recreate your 3d models to match this paintover! hint!

Blizzard has billions as it is, and by making a good model they will attract a lot more players, so in that regard it would be stupid NOT to hire you :)

Might not roll a Worgen since I've been horde for 1 and half years, but I've seen a few Worgen girls stuff (E.i. their dance, jokes, etc) and they ALL could use some updating. Even the worgen voice sounds very "mean" and whatnot.

On that note, undead are undead and shouldn't be breathing so heavily, blood elves have noodle arms, and just how can a gnome carry a giant fuckoff axe? NONE of the game makes logical sense, it's been stylized since the dawn of time.
I agree the faces look spastic, though. I think they could still do the growly face without making it look so stupid. They're very lazy with a lot of their graphics.

OMG! Why don't you work for Blizz!! She looks SO much prettier and more intelligent, not like she's going to rip your throat out for looking at her funny. I've pretty much gotten used to her voice (I main a female tauren, so I'm used to muu muu) But her crazed snarl still bugs me.
I don't think much of it in a bad way. It is what it is, I guess. A lot of their characters look a bit odd and I'll admit, if I'd made the designs it'd look like yours - clean and a nicer design. However, the only thing I don't like is how they don't have tails. I know in most cases werewolves don't, but they would look better with them, I think.
I totally agree with you, and your paint over is beautiful! I haate the constant snarl on the current version. I don't mind the variety on the ears (torn or flopped etc) since it gives you some variety, but none of the current ear choices look very "wolfy" to me. Like you said, they're more like bat ears.

No, seriously, I have no idea what was going on in the guys head who was designing the original. I mean... The psychoface makes it so damn hard to get into RPing a worgen. Try playing a worgen druid with the most composed and boring personality with that face. Not going to happen. :D Also, would be nice to keep the "wolf" in the "werewolf". I was bugged by the anatomy derps as well.
I really hope this gets through to Blizzard. :D

I'm starting a fem-worgen when I can get the heirlooms for her and I love these changes you made. I seriously do not understand Blizzard's reason for screwing with their beta models, if Jocelyn Wildenstein taught the world an important lesson, it was "if it ain't broken don't fix it".
I can never understand why Blizzard gave fem-worgen derpy faces with a permanent snarl instead of looking normal like your Paintover version.
Do you think WoW is worth getting back into? Excluding private servers, I haven't really played the main WoW in years. I'm just scared that my account would get hacked into again since it was once compromised and as a result I lost my gold and items. So I don't know if I should trust an old game like this.
