"The splinter-kin are giant sentinels, made from trees, earth, moss and other organic materials, possibly even living flesh. Found close to the edge of the Druid's forest, they are seen solemnly pacing around or standing completely still, only discernible from the other trees by their humanoid structures and occasional groans and whispers they emit. While almost peaceful in appearance, they can be frighteningly swift and violent when provoked, by trespassing or otherwise."
