A pic I did ago back in 2019 for one of my OC's Maxwell the Lion getting his own Dragon Form, and with a help from a friend we gave a little lore on how he got it.

Long story short, Maxwell found a Crystalized Ancient Dragon deep in a cave and awoke his spirit after he touched the crystal. The sealed spirit and power from that Ancient Dragon gets transfered to Maxwell transforming into a Big Dragon, at some point learned that this Ancient Dragon is named "Balros" and he once protected an old civilization who's now extinct alongisde with his two brothers and mother.

The spirit of Balros is still alive inside Maxwell, who can help him giving his divine power and knowledge when he needs him. Hope one day can make a pic for Balros when he was alive before.
