Unfortunately as long as the Russian people continue to tolerate their governments inexcusable actions, the vitriol will not stop. I don’t fault the average Russian citizen, my hatred lies on those responsible for planning and enacting this invasion. The same cannot be said for others

It’s also a bit frustrating to see how many Russians are so fervently against this conflict, and yet it goes on. But then I remember that, as an American, my right to criticize the government without any fear of incarceration is almost unique. My heart goes out to both sides here. To both the Ukrainians whose lives and homes are being threatened, as well as the Russian servicemen being dragged into what is likely going to turn out a meaningless bloodbath.

I am disgusted by the fact that the people cannot do anything, in Russia democracy is only according to documents, but in reality it does not exist for rallies and pickets, ordinary people can be imprisoned but for now, as an artist, an expression of protest in creativity is available to me, as well as to other Russian/Ukrainian artists

I hope everything going to be okay .. I'm so scared about this situation . No one wants war .. I still can't believe that this is happening, it's a complete shock for me, all Russians and all other countries in general . I hope that everyone will understand that Russians not equal enemies

Exactly most of it are far leftist

Yeah, it's a sad thing, honestly.

The fact that quite a few users on this site will go so far as to harass and label any and all Russian users here (even those who openly condemn the war) as supporters of the war. A few weeks ago, I had an long argument with a few of these users who were harassing a Russian artist.

I even tried explaining to them why what they're doing is bad and why many Russians, even Russian artists here, can't really do much to stop the war. I even gave one of them 6 hours to sent me any proof if the artist they harassed supported either Putin or the war. I literally stayed up until midnight where I was, waiting for any proof from them.

I never got anything. Blocked the user immediately after telling them off for not only wasting my time, but for knowingly harassing and being discriminatory towards any user on this site that is Russian.

They even claimed the any Russian who pays taxes, despite that fact that if they don't pay taxes, they'll go to prison. I even explained this too. Went right over their heads, like everything else I said to them.

Nothing I said got through to them. They kept doubling down on their "All Russians are supporters of this war" rhetoric and even resorted to calling me things such as: Russophile, hippie, and even whitewasher. How the hell is explaining why many Russian civilians can't protest or even voice their condemnation of this horrible war, "whitewashing"? I've even TOLD THEM that I CONDEMN what Putin has been doing. Yet it isn't enough for these people.

They DON'T CARE if their actions and the things they say hurt people who also want this war to end. To people like this: "If you live in Russia, you automatically support this war and support Putin. And therefore, you're evil."

What those people are doing doesn't help anyone. It will only cause more divide and problems.

There is NO EXCUSE for this kind of behavior. That kind of mindset is genuinely disgusting to me. It shouldn't be tolerated here AT ALL.
