I always thought the nanites' intention was just to make Amy comfortable around daleks, and her imagination made her perceive them as people. But there's also the possibility that daleks' perspectives are just so fucked up that they do see eachother like that. It opened up a lot of questions that were never answered. I like that one of them was a ballerina just bc it was spinning around lol
