Little story gifted to me by my good friend
"The salty water swirled past Ki's fins as she twisted her way through the water. Her temporary snake-body was a bit difficult to work with in the water at first, but she took to it soon enough. It was fun to go diving without having to worry about breathing and the ocean floor looked particularly beautiful up close and unfiltered. She had spent hours in the water and would have stayed even longer but for her growing hunger. She swam towards the beach line and soon found herself clawing up the sand to the surface. She thrust herself up out of the water and let the spray fly around her. Her hair, coated with her natural water resistant oils, maintained its massive fluffiness. She opened her eyes and looked down to see a tiny canine staring in fear and wonder. A devious grin full of thin, pointed teeth spread across her face. “Oh, hi” She said playfully, her yellow eyes never leaving her target. He seemed flustered, nervous to speak. “Um... are you... a mermaid?” She had to keep herself from laughing. “Sure I am. Want me to grant you a wish?” He forced himself to nod in answer as his voice left him. Ki licked her lips. Whatever the wish was going to be, the price was going to be the same either way."

"“Now listen…” The serpent began, towering high above her prey and giving them a toothy smirk, “I’m hungry, and you look like you taste good enough. So I’ll give you a choice. You can decide where you wanna go, or I can decide for you.” She cooed, her eyes affixed to the nervous fur standing before her as he took several steps back. She didn’t care whether or not he tried to run. He was small, but she was faster than she looked; and he wouldn’t have much of a choice if he did choose to turn and attempt to run. After all, when the serpent is hungry, she got what she wanted."
